An Elect: Moses

Today, I am going to showcase another “elect” chosen by God, Moses. Long before he was elected for a purpose, Moses took the law into his own hands. He killed an Egyptian who was maltreating an Israelite (Exodus 2:11-12). The aftermath found him fleeing to Midian. Then God called him in Exodus 3 and outlined

The “Elect”

This post focuses on the elect and their purpose. The Oxford Languages defines the elect as a person chosen or singled out. Merrian-Webster defines it as carefully selected: chosen for salvation through divine mercy.  In the Bible, there are three verses that talk about the elect. To begin,  Romans 8:33 NIV records it like this,

God as Creator

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth. Now the Earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters” (Genesis 1:1-2). And God said, “Let there be light,” Genesis 1:3-5, and light came on. He then created other magnificent
