“In him, we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.” (Ephesians 1:11 NIV)
From the passage, we can conveniently say that long before we came to Earth, our purpose was defined for us. When we walk in it, we are free from a lot of issues, but also we have hope that with following God’s purpose for us, we will succeed in our endeavors. Notwithstanding, the path we are given could be rough and dangerous. For example, God said in Isaiah 46:11, “From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned that I will do.” Because God is in control of our purpose, we are assured of the outcome of our activities. Therefore, we are free from worry and anxiety.
