God’s Purpose for Humanity

It has been stated in various books of the Bible what God’s purpose for humanity is. To begin, Isaiah 43:7 lets us know that we were created for his glory. In Genesis 1:26-28, we are told that we were created in his image to rule creation. Ecclesiastes 22:13-14 helps us understand that fearing God and keeping his commandments allows us to see God’s intentions for us. Some of these are, for man to bring glory to Him, for man to be His representative on Earth, to have fellowship and a relationship with God, whereby we acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior. We are God’s workmanship for good works, as stated in Ephesians 2:10. His plan is declared in Jeremiah 29:11, which includes, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

“We are to preach the word in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2) Which is a support to the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. Jesus speaks, “All authority in heaven and on Earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of age.”

Then, John 14:3 concluded, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”
