“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth. Now the Earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters” (Genesis 1:1-2). And God said, “Let there be light,” Genesis 1:3-5, and light came on. He then created other magnificent things and beings.
In the following days, he created the evening and the morning (Genesis 1:8), dry land that could produce vegetation, including plants bearing seeds and fruit, and the seas (Genesis 1:9-10). Then he created two great lights: “The greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made stars, ”(Genesis 1:14).
In Genesis 1:20, he commanded, “Let the water teem with living creatures and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” Also, in Genesis 1:24, God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds. The livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.”
Finally, in Genesis 1:26-27, humans were created. “So, God created mankind in his own image. In the image of God, he created them; male and female he created them.” Then, he charged man to do this, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.” God saw all that He had made on the sixth day and was pleased with His work. Then he created the evening, and morning on the sixth day (Genesis 1:31). After all his hard work, he decided to rest on the seventh day (Genesis 2:1-3)
God is the creator of the universe and has accomplished many amazing things that we cannot even fathom. Man has continued to do what God charged them to do and more as the Holy Spirit leads them to this day. We are the co-creators of the universe, and must continue to hold up to the Lord’s word. Amen.
1 Corinthians 3:9 made this clear when he said, “For we are co-workers in God’s service; continuing, you are God’s field, God’s building.” This is so, when we preach the word in season and out of season. 2 Timothy 3:2 says, “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke.”
