Today we will dwell on the word impossibility in reference to God. In Matthew 19:26, Jesus said (while speaking of salvation), “with man, this is impossible. But with God, all things are possible.” Salvation is difficult to understand from a human perspective” At another instance, in Jeremiah 32:27, he asked, “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” and they replied, “No Lord, nothing is too hard for you.” The Bible is filled with all the mighty works he has done, and today he does more things for us all!
As I said earlier, the Bible has recorded all he has done in the past. He parted the Red Sea and made Israelites walk through it on dry ground. Exodus 14:21-29 has an account of the event. Furthermore, in 1 Samuel 1, God turned Hannah’s Impossible situation around, she went from being barren, to giving birth to a son. Similarly, Sarah was able to give birth to a child even during old age because God promised her a son (Genesis 11:30). “He has made everything beautiful in his time,” (Ecclesiastes 3:11), and we can see that when he converted Saul (who was later named Paul) the apostle and made him a pillar in the scheme of things. Moreover, John 2:7 discusses how Jesus turned water into wine.
Jesus himself has said, “the blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.” in response to the words sent to John the Baptist (Matthew 11:5). He is aware of how he can change people’s lives greatly, encouraging people to believe in him. He says himself, “see I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland,” (Isaiah 43:19). In addition, Psalm 40:5 truly summarizes and creates a good conclusion of God’s acts. It states, “Many, Lord my God are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.”
