Journey of Life: Part 4

Today, in the series “Journey of Life,” we will focus on our relationships.

Of all our relationships, the connection we have with God should always be first. He is the one who gave us Jesus Christ, His only begotten son, to die for us. The requisite to enjoy this is stated in John 3:3, thereby redeeming humanity from the curse of the law. Once they give their life to God, they become born again.

Also, in Matthew 22:37 (NIV), Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

I dare say, in order to love the Lord, you have to know what he stands for. And in order to know what he stands for, you must read his word and apply it to every circumstance of your daily activities. In John 8:31-44, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.”

The other relationship humanity should forge is with its neighbor. Matthew 22:38 states this, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Then the question is this: Who is my neighbor? The parable of the good Samaritan, according to Jesus, exemplifies this in Luke 10:25-37.

Relationships are the bedrock of humanity’s existence. With it, we grow and thrive. Therefore, we should endeavor to form good connections with the help of the Holy Spirit.
